Medical Records Coding Specialist:
Under direct supervision of the Reimbursement & Coding Specialist, provides support to the medical services coding/reimbursement, charge capture, billing and charge creation and maintenance area of an ambulatory care facility with more than 20 providers and a variety of ancillary services.

Student Benefits Coordinator:
As a member of the Patient Accounts & Reimbursement team, and under the direct supervision of the Patient Accounts Manager, coordinates patient and insurance billing and reimbursement for an ambulatory care facility with approximately 15 primary care providers, pharmacy, laboratory, dental, physical therapy, and radiology services.
Responsible for all functions that involve and effect reimbursement for assigned payers, including claims management, accountability for aging accounts receivable, posting payments and communicating with assigned payer or patients. Routinely reviews third party reimbursements to ensure appropriate payment amounts.
Answers telephone calls to assist patients with questions regarding account information and insurance coverage; posts patient payment received by mail or telephone. Reviews assigned aged patient accounts to ensure appropriate billing action has been taken before submission to Collection Specialist.
